What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember information about your visit, like your login status.

How Fox Tracks Uses Cookies

Fox Tracks uses only essential cookies that are strictly necessary for the service to work. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

Cookies We Use

nuxt-sessionKeeps you logged in. Without this, you'd need to sign in on every page. Expires after 7 days.

Do I Need to Consent?

Under UK and EU law, essential cookies that are strictly necessary for a service to function do not require consent. Since we only use essential cookies, Fox Tracks does not show a cookie banner.

Managing Cookies

You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies. However, if you block our session cookie, you won't be able to stay logged in to Fox Tracks.

Here's how to manage cookies in popular browsers:

Third-Party Cookies

Fox Tracks does not set any third-party cookies. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may set security-related cookies to protect against malicious traffic, but these are also essential for the service to operate securely.

Error Monitoring

We use Sentry to monitor for errors and performance issues. Sentry does not use cookies, but it does collect technical information when errors occur, including:

  • Browser type and version
  • Page URL where the error occurred
  • Error messages and stack traces
  • Basic device information (operating system, screen size)

This data is anonymised and does not include personal information like names, emails, or account details. It helps us identify and fix bugs to improve the service.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever decide to add non-essential cookies (such as analytics), we will update this policy and implement a consent mechanism before doing so.
